Direct Deposit
Direct deposit means convenient and often quicker access
to your paycheck. We accept direct deposit from any
employer, government agency or retirement program. If
your employer offers payroll deduction, you can
designate a portion of your paycheck to pay a loan or
save for a special occasion.
Your money will be available at the beginning of each
payday no matter where you are. You’ll never have to
worry about your check being lost, stolen, or late.
Automatic Payments
We can automatically deduct monthly payments toward any of your Heartland loans. Using automatic payments may even reduce the
rate on your Heartland loan.
Online Bill Pay lets you pay anyone, anytime, with just the click of a
mouse. Bill Pay is FREE
with your Heartland checking account!

occasions.

Overdraft Protection
Your Heartland checking account automatically comes with overdraft
protection from your Heartland savings account. If funds are not
available to cover a check or debit from your checking account,
the funds will automatically transfer from your savings account,
saving you from costly overdraft fees and the embarrassment of a
returned check.
We also offer an overdraft line of credit
(upon approval) to add yet another layer of protection should
you not have funds available in either your checking or savings
account.
Privilege Pay
Rather than automatically returning
items for non-sufficient funds (NSF), with Privilege Pay we'll pay your
overdrafts, up to a specific amount, based on your eligibility,
saving you from costly fees and the embarrassment associated
with a returned check.
The fee to use Privilege Pay is the same as
an NSF fee. See our Fee Schedule for
details.
How will I know if I've used Privilege Pay?
Privilege Pay requires no action on your part. We'll send you
notification each time you use Privilege Pay.
It will also appear in your account history. Is Privilege Pay a Loan?
No. Privilege Pay is a courtesy extended to qualifying
Heartland members. We'll pay your overdraft checks and electronic items up to your preset limits.
If you use Privilege Pay, we expect that you'll bring your account back
into good standing within 10 days. What about my current Overdraft Protection?
Privilege Pay will kick in only after all other resources have been
exhausted. |
