Free Foreclosure Counseling Available to You

As foreclosures and their consequences continue to spread across the state and the nation, Heartland Credit Union has teamed up with the Minnesota Home Ownership Center to provide members with access to a certified network of foreclosure counselors. In addition to the other ways that Heartland helps members facing the threat of foreclosure, now members can quickly and easily locate a certified counselor through this network. According to a report published by The Center, the Family Housing Fund and The Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, 26,265 Minnesota homes were lost to foreclosure in 2008, a 29 percent increase over 2007.
