1, 2007 – For the second consecutive year, the
Minnesota
Credit Union for Kids (CUFK) committee honored
Heartland Credit Union’s Dawn Friedrich as CUFK
Volunteer of the Year, based on her involvement in
committee fundraisers and activities.
Friedrich received formal recognition April 14 at an
awards banquet held in conjunction with the
Minnesota Credit Union
Network’s (MnCUN) 2007 Annual Meeting and
Convention. For the past six years Friedrich has served
as Vice President of Operations for Heartland Credit
Union in Inver Grove Heights.
"Each
time I meet a child at Gillette Children's Specialty
Healthcare,
I'm humbled and amazed by how they and their families
deal with the challenges they face. Their courage and
attitude are truly inspirational," Friedrich said. "I’m
honored to be on a committee dedicated to raising money
and awareness for CMN. The smile on a child's face and
the appreciation in their parents' eyes motivates me
even more."
