Heartland Credit Union (Heartland) collected 375 pounds of
personal care items in the recent “Personal Care Drive” for
Neighbors, Inc., a non-profit social service agency serving
Northern Dakota County.
According to John Kemp, Neighbors Executive Director,
personal care items are always in short supply and these
items are always welcome.
This is Heartland’s Second Annual Personal Care drive and
was organized as part of Minnesota Food Share Month again
this year. “After last year we couldn’t wait to help out
again with this unique drive,” said Kathy Harrington,
Heartland Interim President. “We are thankful for the
response from the community and would like to thank everyone
for their donations.”
Local businesses and organizations in Inver Grove Heights,
South St. Paul and West St. Paul who served as collection
sites and contributed to the success of the personal care
drive include; South Family YMCA, Old World Pizza, Black
Sheep Coffee Café, The Grove, Pathways to Play, First
Calvary Baptist Church, Waterous Company, Copy Right
Printing.
