Heartland Collects Over 300 Pounds of
Personal Care Items for Those in Need

April 6, 2010 Heartland Credit Union (Heartland) collected 375 pounds of personal care items in the recent “Personal Care Drive” for Neighbors, Inc., a non-profit social service agency serving Northern Dakota County.

According to John Kemp, Neighbors Executive Director, personal care items are always in short supply and these items are always welcome.

This is Heartland’s Second Annual Personal Care drive and was organized as part of Minnesota Food Share Month again this year. “After last year we couldn’t wait to help out again with this unique drive,” said Kathy Harrington, Heartland Interim President.  “We are thankful for the response from the community and would like to thank everyone for their donations.”

Local businesses and organizations in Inver Grove Heights, South St. Paul and West St. Paul who served as collection sites and contributed to the success of the personal care drive include; South Family YMCA, Old World Pizza, Black Sheep Coffee Café, The Grove, Pathways to Play, First Calvary Baptist Church, Waterous Company, Copy Right Printing.
