Continuing
your education is rewarding, but it can also be exhausting,
emotionally and
financially.
As your
financial solution, Heartland Credit Union can
help with the financial aspect.
In
addition to offering student (and
parent) loans, each year Heartland awards a
$1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships to Heartland
members who are in or have been accepted to an accredited
post secondary school, including vocational or technical
schools/colleges.
Heartland is proud to announce the
winners of our 3rd Annual Scholarship competition.
Applicants were required to complete and submit a
questionnaire and e
ssay.

At Heartland Credit Union you are not
just a number, you are a person with your own story and
financial needs. Heartland recognizes this and has financial
opportunities for everyone at every step of their life. From
the moment you walk in the door on your first visit, it is
like you belong, like family.
Receiving a $500 scholarship is Cindy
Kaine of Farmington, MN. Cindy wrote:
"(Heartland) accounts can be managed any
time, day or night. You can set all of your payments up on
their free bill pay system. It is great! You can customize
it to exactly what you need! The new building in Inver Grove
Heights is gorgeous, and they have full service banking
available, even on Saturdays! Plus, one more bonus is if you
happen to work for CHS, they have a branch right in the
corporate office. Banking does not get any more convenient
than that!
Also receiving a $500 scholarship is
Bill Nownes of Inver Grove Heights, MN. Bill wrote:
I am able to recommend Heartland because
it offers better service and benefits. Heartland operates as
a non-profit financial institution, chartered to serve
member needs. Profits accrue to members rather than
stockholder. Board members are volunteers, and Heartland
itself is member-owned. As a locally operated credit union,
Heartland helps keep money in Dakota County. Heartland's
impact on the community is, in my opinion, an important
feature of membership. Heartland membership offers
personal financial solutions and helps make Dakota County a
better place to work and live."
