Third Annual Coat Drive is a Huge Success: Over
600 Coats
Donated!
Heartland Credit Union began this coat drive
in 2007 to help
Neighbors, Inc. fill a need in our
communities. During that first year 429 coats were donated and during our
third annual coat drive 635 coats were donated to Neighbors - the most
donated since the coat drive began!
"This is absolutely
amazing and we are deeply appreciative. Heartland's continued dedication to
this coat drive means there will be 635 people who are warmer this year,"
said John Kemp, Executive Director of Neighbors, Inc.
Various local businesses and organizations served as drop-off sites for this project including The Grove, Waterous
Company, South Family YMCA, Old World Pizza, Black Sheep
Coffee Café, First Calvary Baptist Church, South St. Paul City Hall,
Fury Motors, Copy Right Printing, DARTS and South St. Paul Central Square.
The success of this drive was made possible by those businesses and
organizations as well as the generosity of our members, employees and area
residents who donated.
