We’ve just been notified of a new scam that we’d like to warn you about. If you receive an email like the sample below do not take action and please delete it. As you’ll see below, while it says it’s from Western Union Financial Service, the actual email address is from someone different – always a red flag for a scam.
Protect yourself and be cautious when you’re asked to provide more information in order to obtain what the scammer is trying to provide you – in this case they are saying you have money to pick up, but they need more information about you in order for that to happen.

Dear User, We are delighted to re-notify you of the CASH (in US Currency) which was registered in your NAME as the receiver and has been available for Pickup for the past (7) days. You are advised to expeditiously contact our email below with your Legitimate Name and Cell Phone Number, so we can provide you with more info Contact us on email Urgently! Western Union Financial Service Inc. (FOREIGN PAYOUT MANAGER)
We have sent you two emails containing the information for pick up, since last weeks but we did not get any reply from you, hence we are sending you this FINAL NOTIFICATION.
